Southridge's History
The first church was purchased after becoming a mission in 1949. The property was purchased at the foot of Hillhurst Road downtown Ridgefield, for a sum of $3,625. A downpayment of $800 and $20 a month payment until paid off.
Our Name
"Community of Christ," your name, given as a divine blessing, is your identity and calling. If you will discern and embrace its full meaning, you will not only discover your future, you will become a blessing to the whole creation. Our call, as a faith community, is to reclaim the same vision and passion for the whole mission of Jesus Christ today through five life-changing, church-changing, and world-changing Mission Initiatives*:
